Crooked Man

Dear god, I've been gone a while! I planned on blogging last week but then I spent the entire week dog sitting my cousin's adorable Corgi, so I was a tad distracted. Today I figured I would get back into the groove with some nail art that would have probably been more fitting during Halloween, but when do I ever plan things out well...

If you have seen the Conjuring 2, you will know this secondary villain character based on the English nursery rhyme. The movie is pretty good, but this version of the Crooked Man I felt was wasted in the few scenes he was used. I am just obsessed with his character design and kept repeating every time I watched the movie that he needs his own, and sure enough rumor is he's getting a spin off! Whoo!
So I figured I would make some nail art inspired by this creepy, crooked man.

I started with a base of Orly Scandal, then stamped on Sally Hansen Velveteen using BundleMonster plate BM-423. I also smudged on Velveteen over the stamping using a makeup sponge to give a dirtier appearance.
The top hat was made with Sinful Colors Snow Me White and BundleMonster plate BM-609.
The Teeth are Snow Me White and plate BM-H06.
The Umbrella was made with Snow Me White and some random off brand stamping plate I found on Amazon labeled "Mezerdoo 28"... I dunno, it was the only plate I could find with an umbrella on it.

I topped the look off with one coat of Sally Hansen Color Therapy top coat.

I themed my nail art around the Crooked Man's wonderful smile, red and black suit, top hat, and umbrella. If you are not familiar with how he is designed in The Conjuring, I won't post pictures here for copyright, but you can see images on Google.
